Holiday Club
Avendale's
Got Talent!!
Based on the
Scripture Union 'Showstoppers' - Holiday Club will take place between the
10th and 14th August from 6.30pm to 8pm. It is being run for children
entering Primary 1 up to Primary 7. All are welcome, regardless of church
orientation and are encouraged to bring friends.
Scripture
readings include will be taken from Psalms, Genesis, Samuel, Daniel and Luke
and there will be Drama Sketches, Team Games, Arts and
Crafts, Singing and much much more!!
Helpers would be gratefully appreciated, along with
craft supplies e.g. felt tip pens, paper, Sellotape, masking tape, craft paint
etc.
The Camels are making a Comeback!!
Last Christmas
Avendale brought the town to a standstill when we arranged for three
camels and wise men to process from Kirkland Park Primary School to the
church for a nativity play. About 1000 people crammed into the church for
an event to remember. We are delighted to announce that there will be a
return visit on Monday 21st December 2009 – again arranged
and hosted by us – but as part of a wider outreach being planned this
Christmas by HOPE (Web site at
www.hopestrathaven.co.uk ) .
